The John Laing Singers are a chamber choir renowned for their tonal beauty and interpretive excellence. Founded in 1982, the choir has received widespread acclaim for their tours, recordings and broadcasts.
We welcome you to another season of magical choral song. At each of our concerts we are joined by world-class guest artists, and we have many new musical treasures to unveil for you.
Once again, our main Concert Series will take place at Central Presbyterian Church, Hamilton. In addition, the choir will be performing at a number of other venues in the Golden Horseshoe.

Opportunities for Singers
Our 2010-2011 season is set but Music Director John Laing is always interested in meeting prospective singers for The John Laing Singers. Our rehearsal evening throughout the season is on Monday. In addition to our reputation for high quality music making, The John Laing Singers have become known for our collaboration, community spirit, organization and exemplary administrative structure. We are a team of musicians and volunteers who enjoy working together and produce great results!
The JLS is a registered charitable organization with a constitution, a Volunteer Board, a Vision statement, clear operating principles, forms and procedures. Our organizational chart lays out clearly defined working groups that report to our Board. There is a job description for each volunteer position that keeps our organization moving along smoothly.
Our working groups meet as required but coordinate most of their work by email or phone. We hold our Annual General meeting each fall and 4-5 Board meetings a year. Our singers and volunteers have a shared commitment to the JLS.
